The nursery floor plan

Our boy's nursery is still on the works. These are the two possible floor plans I designed and I think we're going for the first one with the full size bed, this way we can nap in the room while baby is sleeping 😊

30 Weeks : Maternity Photo Shoot Today!

Thanks to Kristina for capturing some amazing photos of our First Pregnancy. She did a great job. Here's a sneak peak of her job well done. Photos taken at University of Tampa.

Can't wait to seen the rest of the pictures...

We are 3O Weeks and one day pregnant. Baby J is getting bigger and bigger, probably around 3lbs now. He was awake all through out the photo session, as if he knew he's being photographed. I am so thankful that we are able to document this journey, so we can look back and reminisce the wonderful time we had while our little one is still preparing to face the world. Two more months and he will be joining us, I can not believe how time flies. We are super excited!

29 Weeks!!! (7 months and 1 week)

I cannot believe I'm at the seventh month mark already. I have been stuck telling people I'm at 6months not realizing I have passed that stage couple weeks ago already lol. I have 11 more weeks to go, can you imagine that?

I had my appointment this morning and I'm measuring slightly bigger than I should but only by couple of days. The nurse practitioner measured my belly from top to the pelvic bone at 30 weeks, and I will be in five days. I have been coughing up phlegm so my white blood cell count is a bit elevated since its trying to fight the infection but other than that everything is a-ok.

I have another appointment on the ninth. I am now on the twice a month appointments, I'm really getting really close my due date.

We have birth classes lined up for the end of Feb, I can't wait to learn how to push this baby boy out lol.

A co-worker got my little man this cute booties. She said she saw it at the store and just had to get it for me. Thanks Dana!

How to Arrange Baby Nursery Furniture | Overstock.com

How to Arrange Baby Nursery Furniture | Overstock.com

Baby nursery furniture in a black and white nursery

Preparing the nursery for your new baby entails more than just picking out a theme. The baby nursery furniture you choose is just as exciting and important. But once you've selected the perfect baby furniture, how do you arrange it in the nursery? The placement of baby nursery furniture can help set up a nursery that is comfortable and accessible for both you and your baby. Arranging your baby nursery furniture can also help keep your baby safe from the few hazards that a nursery can hold. The following tips can help you arrange your baby nursery furniture, no matter how small or large your nursery is.

Arranging Baby Nursery Furniture:

  1. Measure: Before you begin organizing baby nursery furniture in the nursery, you'll want to measure both the room and the furniture you have selected to make sure everything will fit and to decide where it will fit. A certain wall or alcove may be perfect for a crib, but if it doesn't fit, you'll have to redesign where to place your baby furniture.

  2. Crib: The crib is the most important piece of baby nursery furniture because that is where your baby will be spending a lot of time, especially as an infant. You want to avoid placing the crib against walls shared with a bathroom or other noisy room. You'll also want to place the crib away from windows to avoid injuries from broken glass or to keep your baby from pulling and strangling on cords for curtains or blinds. If you hang decorations or pictures on the wall above the crib, you'll want to pull the crib away from the wall a few inches in case the decorations happen to fall. You'll also want to place the crib within sight of the door so you can check on your sleeping baby as you pass by. Due to a recent ban by the U.S. U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, avoid drop-side crib styles.

  3. Changing table: Placing the changing table near the door of the nursery makes it easy for you to access this piece of baby nursery furniture when bringing your baby from another area of the house for a diaper change. You'll also want to keep the changing table far enough away from the crib that little hands can't reach it or anything on it.

  4. Dresser: You'll want to have the baby dresser close enough to the changing table to make it easy for you to grab clean clothes when you need them without having to take your eyes off your baby. Since the dresser is the piece of baby nursery furniture that usually houses a lamp and baby monitor, you'll want to have it close enough to the door that you can access these items and also close enough to the crib that the baby monitor will pick up your baby's cries.

  5. Rocker or glider: The rocker or glider is the piece of baby nursery furniture that is primarily for you. You'll want to make sure it is arranged in a way to make you comfortable. Having the chair near the crib makes taking a sleeping baby back to bed a short trip.

What great article, I wouldn't even think about this stuff if I didn't read it about it first lol.

28 Weeks - Hello Third Trimester!

My baby boy is 28 Weeks today!!! I'm officially one week into the 3rd Trimester. I'm not quite sure if I'm already feeling Braxton Hicks but every once in a while my belly would get so hard and it feels like he is pushing out of my belly, silly boy lol. I'm enjoying every bit of my pregnancy, especially when I feel his movement. I started tracking his kicks and so far he's been so active. Daddy Timothy loves baby's kicks too, he felt him couple if times already.

To our Baby J,
Everyday it gets closer and closer to your arrival and I can't wait to meet you my son, I still can't imagine who you will look like but I know you will be so cute just like your daddy. I hope our regular alphabet and number lessons on our way to work will remain in your memory so when you're finally out we can continue to do our sing-a-longs.
Always remember mommy loves you, daddy loves you, shadow and mouschkie loves you and everyone else! Talk to you later boo boo.
Love, Mommy : )

Registered Today!

My bestfriend and sis-in-law accompanied me today to register gifts for my upcoming baby shower. We went to Buy Buy Baby & Babies R Us. Definitely a fun but overwhelming experience especially at Buy Buy Baby since the store is so huge and there are so many options to choose from. Thanks to Steph & Karolina for coming with me and gave me input on what's good and so so items, what's important and what's unnecessary. It was definitely a fun day, making this pregnancy even more exciting.

Tip on registering: Don't hesitate to scan everything you think you'll need and want, have choices for each item as far as prices so your guests can have options on what to get depending on their budget. Oh and register for lots of diapers : )

I will be doing registry at Target too for additional stuff. This will give my guests an option where to shop, they might not be anywhere near a Babies R Us or Buy Buy Baby, so Target will be another option.
